How do MTs access the Global Documents from the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) software?

Answer / Solution

Global Documents Access from InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC)

Summary

In this guide, you will learn how to access Global Documents, and download files using the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) software.

Overview

The Global Documents feature in the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) allows MT and QA Users to download files which have been made available to them.  This may include patient lists, appointment lists, or encounter lists, when an ADT interface is not in place, or any other content an administrator or facility user wishes to make available. Global documents are stored and transmitted securely.

Global documents can be in any format, as long as the PC downloading the Global document would know how to open that file type.

Tasks

From the ITC Main Window, and the ITC Editor this feature can be accessed from the File menu Global Documents.

  • Or by using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+ Shift + G.
  • To locate a file, search by typing in the Description field, or by clicking on the down arrow next to "Facility".

Options to open file:

  • Double click on the file.
  • Select file, and press Enter.
  • Select file, and then click on "Open".

  • The file will open providing your computer can open that file type.

Please Note: Global Documents are frequently updated, so please always open files from this location instead of downloading to your desktop.
