Adding an ITC icon to the Windows Desktop
Summary
During the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) installation process an icon is added to the desktop. See KB298 for details on how to install the ITC. This article explains the steps for adding an icon to the desktop if you find the icon is missing or has been accidentally removed.
Steps
- Hit the Windows/Start button on the keyboard or click on the Windows logo on the toolbar.
- In the Search box "InfraWare". This will come up with a list of items which may look something like the screenshot below (note that Windows 8/8.1 looks slightly different).
- Locate the ITC in the list of programs. You can launch the program from here, or follow the next steps to add an icon to the desktop.
- Right click on InfraWare Transcription Client and choose "Send To" and then click on "Desktop (createshortcut)".
- This will place an icon on your desktop and you can launch from there as needed.
