How do I troubleshoot a situation where Internet Explorer modifies the page to help prevent cross-site scripting? |
Answer / Solution |
Cross-Site Scripting Issue Explained
Overview At times, Internet Explorer will flag the properties window for a job with a cross scripting message. You can likely see the message at the top of the pop-up browser window stating "Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting. Click here for more information." This is a very rare occasion but can happen when it falsely identifies data in the window as having an issue. In order to get around this issue, you will want to disable the XSS filter in Internet Explorer for your trusted sites. You can accomplish this via the following steps: First make sure https://www.infraware.com is in the trusted sites.
After you have made this change, pull the properties window up again and it should not flag the cross scripting situation. |
