InfraWare, Inc., recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America, is pleased to announce from Terre Haute, Indiana that it was awarded a patent on March 5, 2019, by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the fourth in as many years. The patent name is Automated Identification of Verbal Records Using Boosted Classifiers to Improve a Textual Transcript.
The patent is for the use of various streams of speech recognition, acoustic characteristics, and the basic properties of a dictation in order to automatically determine the type of document from the recorded audio paired with speech recognition output (part of InfraWare’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) service known as First DraftSM) to further enhance language structure and content.
Maintaining its conscientious focus on reducing the time and cost of preparing narrative documentation that was historically produced by transcriptionists, InfraWare’s primary use of this technology has grown from healthcare records into other verticals such as legal and insurance documentation.
